About Mike Bailey – The Auto Prof
Mike has been turning wrenches on cars since 1979.Cars are his passion; so much in fact, that he wanted to pass his knowledge on to others in the automotive industry.
Mike is fully licensed by the College of Trades as a Motor Vehicle Technician and a Truck and Coach Technician, and certified through HRAI’s Ozone Depletion program to provide environmentally conscious A/C service.
In 1992
Mike became an instructor while continuing to develop his knowledge and skills on the shop floor. As a result, unique, proven and unpublished practical shop procedures are Mike’s personal specialty.
Most recently
In addition to running his own repair business, Mike was the Central/Western Ontario instructor for a large North American Automotive training company delivering training for NAPA, Parts Plus and many others.

Mike has personally developed and implemented a number of highly specialized courses covering R&D, development and presentations.
Mike has also been a lead Automotive Instructor at Canadian Forces School for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CFSEME), CFB Borden, Ontario where he provided instruction to both QL3-QL5 Vehicle Technicians and military instructors.


MOBILE AIR CONDITIONING SOCIETY MACS WORLDWIDE (MACS)
The Auto Prof is a proud member and “THE” Canadian Delivery partner for MACS Worldwide, Certified to instruct Section 609 Certification.
MACS are the leading non-profit trade association for total vehicle climate and thermal management. Since 1991, MACS has assisted more than 1 million service technicians to comply with the 1990 U.S. EPA Clean Air Act requirements for Section 609 certification. The Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide mission is clear and focused, as the recognized global authority on mobile air conditioning and heat transfer industry issues. Mike is also a registered instructor with HRAI to teach Canada’s Ozone Depletion Certification Program.
A series of occupation-related injuries has made Mike put the wrenches down and take up teaching full-time, where he can put his vast automotive expertise to work bringing the next generation of automotive technicians up to speed and “in-shop profitable”
